Light Graffiti
Categories: Art

Photography is one of those things that I wish I could do, kind of like pencil drawings (they’ve never been my forte). My downfall is that I don’t have a nice camera to capture all the things I would like to. Perhaps one day, though, I’ll have saved enough to invest in a good camera and be able to start my own work with photography. Until then, I will just admire the work of others.

Light graffiti is achieved by using a low shutter speed on the camera and taking the photos primarily at night, or in low light. Letting the shutter stay open for a longer amount of time lets more light in, which creates the trails of light that you see.

Also, from our good friends at Toxel.com, here is a [link] to another article about light graffiti and some more links to other artists’ sites.

Just to get some conversation started, what picture is your favorite and what do you like about it?

Thanks!
